Fushoushan Farm lies between the peaks of the Central Mountain Range and the Xueshan Range, at an elevation of 2,100 to 2,614 metres. Surrounded by mountains with wide views, it is beautiful in every season, and the dawn and dusk colours are striking.
The farm has a distinctive alpine countryside landscape. It produces high-mountain tea (Fushou Changchun tea) and fruit such as honey apples, peaches and pears of excellent quality. The visitor centre offers comfortable accommodation and dining, making the farm an ideal destination for a family trip or a journey into the hidden mountains.
The seasons at Fushoushan
Fushoushan has four distinct seasons, and the clouds at dawn and dusk keep changing, so each season looks entirely different.
- Spring: cherry, plum, peach and apple blossoms open one after another to welcome the season.
- Summer: golden cat’s-ear flowers dot the green hills, and yellow and green glow in the sunshine.
- Autumn: the harvest brings heavy peaches, pears and apples. When the autumn wind rises, fields of cosmos ripple against the distant mountains and maples colour the farm. This is when the farm is at its most colourful.
- Early winter: plum blossoms bloom in the cold and snow covers the peaks, like a northern landscape painting.
Because every month has its own scenery, the farm uses a short poem to describe its twelve months:
January, snow falls from the sky. February, admire the cherry blossoms. March, peach blossoms dance. April, smile at apples and pears. May, flowers bloom together. June, the scent of tea. July, golden chrysanthemums. August, the fragrance of peaches. September, savour sweet pears. October, the autumn harvest. November, enjoy the maples and pick apples. December, the first frost.
At night the farm is covered with stars, as if telling the old Greek myths. With such rich scenery, visitors come back again and again.
