Lavender Cottage is a dream café built by two women, set in a valley of lavender.
In the lavender valley there is no city noise. A gentle breeze moves through the treetops, warm sunlight falls on the lavender fields, birds sing happily and flowers bloom in turn through the seasons.
In May 2004 the two founders opened a branch in Jianshi, Hsinchu, facing the Youluo valley, with a view from above that lifts the spirits. All around the grounds you can see the hand-painted signs and drawings by the two founders, alongside small plants and flowers, and every corner brings a pleasant surprise. A three-storey wooden house sits on a winding hilltop, decorated in purple tones and warm wood, and the friendly staff make the stay even more enjoyable.
The first floor of the café sells hand-painted products such as kites, cards, T-shirts and lampshades. The most popular item is handmade soap made with essential oils. The soaps are translucent and come in many scents, such as jasmine, milk, osmanthus, rose and tea tree.
